A Drawing a Day – Week 2

Not going to write too much in these posts but just to say that two weeks have now been completed, yay!  I went to see ‘The Radical Nude’ at the Courtauld on Saturday and wow, wow, wow that Egon Schiele guy really knew how to draw the figure (even if some of them were rather radical and rude).  The way he wandered his line around the human form was truly amazing.  Sadly he died really young at 28, in the great 1918 flu epidemic.

I have a book on Egon Schiele–such a sad life at the end. I also have some postcards of his work from the Tate Gallery. You are doing so well even trying to draw the human figure, I thought it looked good, good work.

Well done for sticking at this, Sue. I like the ivy leaves – there is a ‘familiarity’ in the line no doubt because you have been drawing plants/flowers over the past year.
