A Drawing a Day – Week 12

Three months!  The equinox has passed, spring is here (supposedly) and today will be my 84th drawing.  This week has focused on the domestic and the personal.  I have been watching a BBC show about amateur painters and have been inspired to have a go at portraits…… Wow is that hard! Self portraits too! Well I look like a crazy, angry person, maybe I am?! I have an illusion of my appearance which is shattered by my drawings of myself – at last I can be happy that my drawings are rubbish!  What a lark this is……………….

A Drawing A Day – Week 11

More daffodils than you can shake a stick at this week, not that I am a great fan of daffodils really, but a bunch in the house provided drawing material for several days.  They are very complicated to draw and I need to practice.

A Drawing A Day – Week 10

Surprise, surprise ten weeks have passed and today I will (hopefully) be producing my 70th drawing.  Outside spring is really in the air, the sun is hotter and the wind is gentler, and the birds are really letting us know that it is time to be getting on with spring type business.  Washing is drying on the line and the heating has not been on today……….. Maybe I will get outside and do some outdoor drawings next week?  (ha! I suspect that be a signal for the winter to leap back out!).  This week’s drawings:

A Drawing a Day – Week 9

I seem to be going backwards this week, it has been a struggle to get pencil to paper and to get mind frame into gear.  The sixty drawing landmark was passed this week, only 305 to go as my dear husband said, what it is to have support from your nearest and dearest – ha ha!
