A Drawing a Day – Week 21

Week 21 – it started with a bang and ended with a whimper, such is life and such has been my week.  Not much more to add except that drawing has been an escape from thinking, when I sit and concentrate getting something down on paper – then the whole world falls away and I am peaceful for the time that it takes and that has been a real blessing to me in the last few weeks and days. Even saying that, it has sometimes been a struggle to get pencil to paper, see if you can spot the day when I really, really didn’t feel motivated!

Hope things go better for you next week! I really like the shed and waterbut. I’m guessing that the hebe day was when you were at your lowest ebb. All the best!

Sorry that your week has not been brilliant either, some weeks are like that though but they do pass . I really enjoyed drawing the chives, I sat out in the garden with the radio on and felt the warm sunshine on my back. Best wishes

I am so sorry you are having a bad time. I hope you manage to resolve your problems soon. John looks so comfortable in your sketch! I also love the chives and the view of your shed and water butt – beautiful!

My week has also been stressful, but at least you kept drawing and I always enjoy my peaks of your beautiful house and garden. They brightened up my week at least. Karen

Hi Karen, sorry to hear your week has been tough too – life is pants sometimes, but everything passes. Glad you like the house and garden, it is very forgiving to draw as it really is wobbly and without any straight lines so my style suits it – ha ha! S
