A Drawing A Day – Week 36

Just a quickie this week, I have no excuses now, my room is set up and I have purchased some great lights so I can see what I am doing, but I am finding it hard to focus.  But September is here and September always feels like a new beginning (even though the school year has no relevance in my life anymore), so I am hopeful I will begin to settle down and start drawing properly again.

I love the front steps and your chesterfields always look so comfy in sketches, so ready to sit and read a good book off the shelves.

I am behind on my weekly sketch, but vowing to catch up this week. It,s so easy to get behind, I don’t know how you do one every day.

I’m very grudging some days (like today!) but I have got to 252 so really want to carry it through to the bitter end. The finishing post is in sight, plus I have two friends who are doing it and I don’t want to let them down. Grit your teeth and get pencil onto paper……it does not have to be a masterpiece every time, and it’s worth it. 🙂

I am so pleased you are settled at last. My husband has just retired and we have finally started planning improvements to the house and garden. In going through our overcrowded garage we have found a tea-chest that we packed when leaving the house before last, didn’t bother doing anything to it when we were in Somerset for 18 months and then it got lost and forgotten in the garage here for over 9 years!
I like your empty sofa sketch and the clean lines of the camellia drawing too.

I had to laugh at your tea chest story as we have stuffed several boxes into the loft and I am not sure they will ever see the light of day again. More important is my husband finally beginning to settle down, he has also just retired and together with the move has been a bit ‘lost’, but a new shed has perked him up no end 🙂
