Week 51!!?? You gotta be kiddin’ me! Well fancy that, just 9 more drawings to go…….. Well, they are not very exciting drawings this week, my workroom is in such a muddle I have only been able to perch on the corner of my table with a pencil and an A4 pad.
The holly is so lovely. Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas and congratulations on week 51. You have had such a momentous year. Looking forward to seeing week 52.
Congratulations Sue! Nearly there! I love the Ipswich roofs best!
I like the roofs and all the leaves with the stronger outline, Sue. What did you use for that outline? And oh so very nearly there……well done you!
Just ordinary pencil for all the drawings, sometimes heavier sometimes lighter.
So near now! Are you going to stop stop at the end of the year, or continue on?
Well I think I am going to stop the project but I want to keep on with something……just not sure what. Maybe more of a ‘sketchbook’ rather than individual drawings. I live near a park with some magnificent ancient trees, and I am very attracted to drawing them as a project.
Yes, I have been thinking about a theme or something coherent for periods of time and winter trees in my local park is something I’ve been thinking about for January.
I’m just going to have to grit my teeth and be prepared to draw in public – shock horror! 🙂 We have some really wonderful trees, the best are the oaks and the sweet chestnuts, and I swear there is an Ent there too.
Have you got an urban sketching group near you? Going out with other people to draw outside can be good as when there is more than one of you it’s less intimidating!
